About the maker
Anja Rockstroh re-established a bandoneon workshop in Klingenthal in 2002. It builds new instruments inspired by the historic Alfred Arnold models and also makes parts, bellows and reeds and restores free-reed instruments. The present company is distinct from Alfred Arnold's original Carlsfeld firm, founded in 1911.
The illustrated AA 142 II/II-chorus bandoneon represents the factory's double-reed range. Its catalogue lists 38 right-hand and 33 left-hand buttons, a black semi-gloss case and red-patterned bellows paper.
