About the maker
Gianfranco “John” Gabbanelli came from Italy to Houston in 1961. He set up a workshop in his garage and designed accordions for the growing regional Mexican music scene. The family continues the business in Houston; its instruments are made to its specifications by artisans in Italy.
The illustrated M400 represents its diatonic button range. The official catalogue lists 34 buttons and five sound registers for the full-size model.
