About the maker
Jean Maugein founded a small workshop in 1919. His brothers joined him, and the business became Maugein Frères in 1922. After production stopped during a 2024 liquidation, a new team relaunched the brand.
The maker's range includes chromatic, diatonic and piano accordions. Its Amusette line offers button accordions in 80-bass and 96-bass versions for musette playing.
