About the maker
The Melodija instrument factory was established in Mengeš in 1946; Melodija Glasbila has continued its instrument-making tradition since 1995. A Slovenian government history records the factory's start of diatonic accordion production in 1972.
The illustrated META model has a pear-wood body, dark wooden buttons and hand-made reeds. The maker lists 37 plus three treble buttons and 11 bass buttons, and says the instrument is made entirely in Mengeš.
