About the maker

Edward and Dorothy Traficante established Titano in Minneapolis in the early 1950s and arranged production in Castelfidardo, Italy. Ernest Deffner acquired the brand in 1965. Titano developed the quint converter free-bass system for players moving between standard and free bass.

The illustrated Emperor Super IV is a concert piano accordion. The maker specifies 45 treble keys, 120 standard bass buttons and 48 free-bass notes in its quint converter version.
