About the maker
Luiz Matheus Todeschini bought his former employer's workshop and moved it to Bento Gonçalves in 1931. The firm grew into one of Latin America's largest accordion producers. After a factory fire in 1971, instrument production ended and the company concentrated on furniture.
The Museu do Imigrante preserves a 1935 piano accordion with white wooden cases, floral ornament and 150 bass buttons. Another state museum holds a later Todeschini button accordion. The illustration interprets the 1935 museum description.
