Frode Haltli is a Norwegian accordionist and composer whose work ranges from contemporary concert music to folk traditions. He develops dance tunes through improvisation and new ensembles. His 2002 debut Looking on Darkness premiered several works written for him and won Norway's Spellemannprisen.

For Passing Images (2007), he drew on a local waltz and a western Norwegian psalm, working with Maja Ratkje and Arve Henriksen. He later assembled the larger Avant Folk group, bringing folk, jazz, and contemporary musicians together for a 2018 album. These projects place the accordion at the centre of new interpretations of traditional material.
