Mariano Dallapè was an accordion maker from Trentino. He moved to Stradella in 1868 and worked on repairing and improving the organetto. Lombardy's cultural heritage catalogue records a prototype he made in 1871. He opened a workshop in Stradella in 1876 and began sustained production there.
In 1895 he opened a new factory and expanded production with employed craftspeople. He exhibited an instrument at the Paris Exposition in 1900 and received an award. The Dallapè company became central to Stradella's accordion trade, and the town's accordion museum bears his name. His contribution was to build a durable workshop and a local centre of manufacture.
