"Weird Al" Yankovic is an American singer and accordionist. He began playing accordion as a child and first reached radio listeners by sending home recordings to the Dr. Demento Show.
His song parodies and original comic songs sit alongside polka medleys. He continues to use the accordion in recordings and on stage, making it a recognizable part of his music. His 2014 album Mandatory Fun includes a polka medley. In 2024 he released the single Polkamania!, joining pop hits from the intervening years in another medley.
